One Lap of the Web: Remembering Ayrton Senna

-- Hard to believe it's been 20 years since the passing of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, but one Jalopnik reader remembers the bloody weekend in San Marino vividly. A dream vacation in Europe cumulating in the ill-fated Grand Prix: Alan Dahl saw Senna's wrecked car coming into the pits, but like the rest of the crowd, he wouldn't find out Senna's fate until he left the track. Lorinser debuts 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-class

Brabus and AMG aren't the only tuning houses fielding their own versions of Mercedes-Benz cars, and during this week's Essen Motor Show German tuning house Lorinser unveiled their version of the new W222 Mercedes-Benz S-class. Lorinser has been tuning Mercedes-Benz automobiles since 1976 (and they've been selling them for more than 80 years), though their tuned cars not often seen on our shores. But Lorinser's upgrades to the S-class cars of the last 20 years have been well received in Europe.

Coda to price electric compact sedan at $44,900

Coda Automotive Inc. will begin delivering the first of its electric compact sedans in December priced at $44,900 before federal and state incentives. With federal incentives, the starting price will be $37,400, and with California state incentives, the price could be as low as $32,400.
